Membership categories and annual subscription
The membership categories and annual subscriptions are as follows. You may choose the one that best fits you, and the Committee will decide on the category.
Student
$20/year
Student in any local or overseas institution regardless of the field they studying.
Associate
$40/year
Anyone with an interest in human factors and ergonomics regardless of the field they work in.
Ordinary
$40/year
Anyone who has a formally recognized degree in human factors, ergonomics, or related disciplines.
Professional
$80/year
Anyone who possesses a minimum of 5 full-time years of relevant work experience.
Fellow
$100/year
Professional who has made significant contributions to human factors and ergonomics over a period of at least 15 years.
Honorary Fellow
–
Fellow who has made significant contributions to human factors and ergonomics over a period of at least 20 years and development of the society.
Corporate
$250/year
Each corporate member can nominate up to THREE staff to enjoy the HFESS membership privileges.
Terms & Conditions
The annual subscription fee is payable within two weeks of approval of membership, in default of which membership may be cancelled by order of the Committee.
Renewals are payable in advance by January of the year. The Secretary would remind all members to renew their membership in December. If a member falls into arrears with his subscription or other dues, he shall be informed immediately by the Secretary. If he fails to settle his arrears by February, he would be denied the privileges of membership until he settles his account.
